Welcome to the site for New York City's At Sea! Don't be afraid to float away.
Tonight! AT SEA performs for the 2nd night in a row with Danish Grammy winner Kira, and local favorites Apollo Heights.
Last night we all played Fontana’s in NYC and it was amazing. Tonight we’re at Public Assembly in Brooklyn. Come out if you’re nearby, you will not be disappointed!
Here it is, folks!
It’s been too long! We have this pretty website but haven’t been playing with it nearly enough lately.
AT SEA is alive and well. Spreading its wings a bit and stretching off into new territory. Jason has been working on demos for the songs that will hopefully be released on a new record later this year. He has also been collaborating on some fun projects outside of the band.
The “Low Light” video party was a blast, and thanks to all who came out for it. A debauched night, to say the least. The video is still in the edit room, as some tweaks were desired after the first public viewing. We hope that it will be done and up online very soon. AT SEA is already talking with good friends/collaborators Kevin Tully and Jason Hagen (Lullskull, Ltd.) about new video projects that could get into motion as early as this summer.
Some shows are on the calendar for the next few months, and hopefully the crazy writing process will allow time for more. Look for AT SEA at Fontana’s next weekend (Saturday, May 29, 8pm–Jason solo), and Spike Hill and Public Assembly in Brooklyn later this summer. And at a Six Flags near you (if you live in New Jersey, that is).
Stay tuned for more stuff. New lo-fi recordings will even post soon!
Ok, so, it’s finally happening! We are going to premiere the latest version of the “Low Light” video at Fontana’s on the LES, on Friday, April 16, at 8PM. There will be no show to follow that night, but we should be playing soon after.
This event is open to all, and since we’re not playing afterward we’ll get to hang out and party irresponsibly.
If you’d like to learn more about the video, there’s a special Facebook page for it!:

This weekend was supposed to mark the premiere of our video for “Low Light,” which is coming out great, judging by the edits we’ve seen thus far.
Unfortunately, due to a mixup at the venue, the premiere party/show will have to be rescheduled. We are hoping to have the screening/party sooner rather than later in April, with or without a full-on show. Can’t wait to share it with you!
More updates and uploads are on the way.
If you’re in NYC/Brooklyn tonight, Jason will be at Spike Hill doing an At Sea Unplugged show. He promises no Christmas music. But will hopefully warm you up nonetheless.
We want to wish everyone the happiest of holidays. We’d be nothing without you.
Great things afoot for the new year. We shoot a proper video for “Low Light” in mid-January. And other video and additions will go live very soon.
Here’s to a killer 2010!
Unfortunately, due to a glitch with the promoter and the venue our scheduled show at Fontana’s this evening needed to be canceled. As always, of course, we are itching to play for you and we are sorry this had to go down, and for any inconvenience if you had been planning on coming out.
We go into hiding for a bit to work on new music and perhaps engage in a little holiday merrymaking/partying. But new shows and new music are on their way, we promise. And perhaps some video footage, and perhaps an unplugged show soon….
Yes, we’ve made the switch to the dark side. Apparently we’re not suited for minors.
At Sea will be playing another great local show at another great venue: The Studio at Webster Hall. As if that’s not already a great reason to come out, how about NO COVER and $20 OPEN BAR?! Yeah, you read that right, No Cover Mondays at The Studio are FREE and $20 gets you all the booze you can pour down your throat. Uh, we’ll see you there!

Come out and see the boys rock this year’s CMJ Music Marathon.
Show is next Thursday 10/22 and starts at 7pm at The Suffolk in the LES. It’s early, yes, but that leaves plenty of night left in the air for mischief.
