At Sea Spring News: Nirvana Tribute Video, New Site, Return to Webster Hall 6/10!

At Sea People,
Spring has finally sprung, and we’ve got more to be thankful for than just the weather….

Last month was a busy one. A rockin’ show at Pianos in NYC was followed by several days spent in the studio working on the beginnings of our next release. We went through preliminary tracking for five songs, and so far they are sounding stellar. We will of course keep you all updated on our process and progress.

We also shot a video! To tide people over while we continue to work on new stuff, we made a video for our “Something in the Way” cover in tribute to the release of the Nirvana/Kurt Cobain Montage of Heck documentary that came out yesterday. The video was concepted by Kevin Tully (who also shot and edited), who took inspiration from the video game The Last of Us, which popularized our version of the track. The amazing Blythe Irish worked makeup magic on the shoot. You can view the video here:

More news: Our new site is live! We are still doing some cleanup and making visual changes, but we hope you’ll find it better-looking and easier to view and navigate, with integration to all our social media. Check out the new when you have a chance, it’s been a long time coming!

Finally, we want to let you know about our next show WAY in advance because it is just that special and worth talking about. We’ll be returning to the Studio at Webster Hall on Wednesday, June 10, to support Halfnoise (band led by the ex-drummer of Paramore). This has become one of our favorite NYC stages and we’re really looking forward to this night! We hope you’ll come out if you’re in the area and support, it’s going to be one for the books!:

We’ll leave it at that for now. Please check out the new video and spread it around, and come see us next month in NYC! Have a beautiful day!
