apologies: site malfunctions

Hi all,
We’re sorry to report (in case you have not noticed) that our site has a few bugs that have cropped up recently. We are making our way through the great state of Texas for SXSW and some surrounding shows but we’re on the case and will be trying to have this all fixed as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding.

In the meantime, if you’re trying to stream our music or view other details we encourage you to visit our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/AtSeaMusic

Or our Reverbnation page here: http://www.reverbnation.com/atsea?profile_view_source=header_icon_nav

See you in Texas maybe?

TOMORROW NIGHT!: At Sea @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn

We hope you’ve had a good week. Even if you haven’t, we can help you end it on a high note.

We’ll keep this brief, but we just want to remind you that tomorrow night we are playing the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn for the very first time, with three other killer bands. You’re in for about three hours of amazing music to celebrate the beginning of March, or that it’s Friday, or whatever you choose.

This is a sort of tour kickoff show for us, and we would love your support at this amazing venue.

Please come, this is a big night for us!:

We’ll bug you once again next week with our tour details, but do keep in touch via FacebookTwitter, and all that good social media stuff, and of course on  At Sea website

Time to rehearse. See you tomorrow!

At Sea Goes South for Winter, Tour Kickoff show @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn, Friday, 3/1!

We are very pleased to announce that we will be a part of this year’s South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX, and that as a result we’ll be doing a short tour of the South (well, mostly TX) in the middle of next month. It’s At Sea’s first time at SXSW and this is a huge milestone for the band. We are proud of how far we’ve come and we thank you all for being there with us.

Our official SXSW showcase will be for Sony Electronics at Sony City (held at the Hangar Lounge) on Friday, March 15, at 10pm. But we’ll also be playing several other “unofficial” shows while we’re in Austin, from March 14-16. If you’re around for the madness that descends upon Austin during this time, then you should definitely try and catch our set! Due to the chaotic nature of SXSW time shows are still coming together, but if you watch our Facebook page and other social media you’ll definitely be kept in the loop.

It gets even better. We’ll be kicking off our tour in Brooklyn, opening for some amazing bands at the Knitting Factory! Our first time at the Knitting Factory is another pretty awesome milestone for At Sea. Please come and support us, it’s a big room and your presence will certainly be missed!:

Just one more bit of cool news to share that we are pretty proud of. A New Machine was chosen to be featured as part of Amazon’s “Artists You Should Hear” program this month. We are one of 12 or 13 featured albums in the “Alternative” category. Here’s a link!: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1001046091

Our press page, shows, etc., are always updating, so check in at the At Sea website when you can, or visit us on Facebook, for up-to-date info.

We’ll hopefully see you at the Knitting Factory next Friday!

Finally, we have to share that we’ve been selected as one of the top 100 bands (out of 2,000+) to be in the running to perform at the Outlaw Roadshow, a big showcase in Austin, TX, during SXSW that is hosted by Adam Duritz of Counting Crows fame and Ryan Spaulding of Ryan’s Smashing Life. This is good.

We have been assigned a unique link via their platform and are asking ALL of our fans to visit it and click SUPPORT! It will take you seconds to do this and will help us immensely as this is a great opportunity if we actually win. Please VISIT this page and SUPPORT!: http://www.zazoo.it/LandingPages/Reverbnation/Vote.aspx?ClipID=1453115

Hope to see you this week, and maybe down south, soon….

Starting next week, we’ll be doing a residency for three weeks at the Bowery Electric in NYC. This will be a series of special “Stripped” At Sea shows, where we take things in a bit of a different direction. These shows will feature mostly Jason doing broken-down versions of songs off of A New Machine along with other surprises, and you may see some special guests, too. These shows are early and free! Also, if you’re giving the gift of music this holiday season, we encourage you to pick up our latest, A NEW MACHINE, via iTunes! Click on the link to get to it. Feel free to preview the record on Spotify or wherever else you like to stream your music–it’s all over cyberspace.

If you’ve got it already, maybe you’ll give us the gift of a review or a star rating on iTunes, too–these days, little things like that can make a big difference!

We love you all, and hope you’re enjoying your December so far and that you’ll come close out the year with us on Friday at Milkboy if you’re around!

At Sea and friends at Union Hall, Brooklyn, 11/29, and happy Thanksgiving!

Dear At Sea Friends and Fans,
We’ve got a lot to be thankful for these days, and we hope the same goes for all of you. Just thought we’d send you a quick update before you all unplug (hopefully) at the end of this week.

Thanks to those who weathered the post-hurricane snowstorm to catch us at Rockwood Music Hall earlier this month. We had a blast there in spite of the weather, and we can’t wait to return.

With some downtime this month we’ve begun to work on some new music, and hopefully we’ll be able to incorporate some new stuff into our repertoire before the year is through, or in the new year at the very least.

For now we want to invite you out to our last show of this month, which we’ll be playing with some very good friends of ours. Please come out to Brooklyn if you’re in the area to catch our first show at an awesome venue we’ve always wanted to play at. Here are the details:

Post-hurricane/election At Sea show in NYC this Wednesday

We hope that everyone reading this is safe and sound. We were very lucky in the wake of Sandy. Our sympathies go out to those who were not.

We have been radio silent following the aftermath of the storm, but this email is just to let you know that we’re playing an early show this Wednesday on the Lower East Side of NYC, which is now slowly recovering. We’d love to see you here:

Rockwood Music Hall
196 Allen St.
NYC
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7
7:00PM SHARP / 21+ / FREE
Facebook invite: HTTPS://WWW.FACEBOOK.COM/EVENTS/376620049093069/?CONTEXT=CREATE

THERE IS NO COVER FOR THIS SHOW, BUT WE’LL BE PASSING THE TIP/CONTRIBUTION BUCKET, AND ANY CONTRIBUTIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE RED CROSS FOR SANDY RELIEF.

We encourage you to come be a part of the post-election/post-natural disaster community if you’re local to NYC and able to make it. Hopefully we will have at least one thing to celebrate….

More to come.

At Sea
